SCMEP Board of Directors Adds Chuck Bundy, S.C. Department of Commerce

COLUMBIA, SC - October 3, 2003 - Chuck Bundy, senior manager of business solutions for the S.C. Department of Commerce (SCDOC), has been appointed to the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership's (SCMEP's) Board of Directors. Bundy replaces interim board member Daniel Young, also with SCDOC.

Bundy, a 14-year veteran of SCDOC, oversees company outreach designed to increase the competitiveness of South Carolina businesses. He is a certified economic developer (CEcD) and has served as a faculty member at the University of North Carolina/Chapel Hill and the S.C. Economic Developers School/College of Charleston. He is a member of the S.C. Economic Developers Association (SCEDA) and the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).

Prior to entering the economic development profession, Bundy spent nine years in commercial banking.
